Pickleball Court Template Pavement Marking Stencil--HALF

 SKU#:3750

Pickleball is a paddle sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong. It is played on a smaller court (similar in size to a badminton court) with a lower net. Players use solid paddles made of wood or composite materials to hit a perforated plastic ball, similar to a wiffle ball, over the net.

🏓 Basic Rules

  • Court Size: 20 feet wide by 44 feet long.

  • Net Height: 36 inches at the sidelines and 34 inches at the center.

  • Scoring: Games are typically played to 11 points, and you must win by 2 points.

  • Serving: The serve is made underhand and must be hit diagonally to the opponent’s service court.

  • Double Bounce Rule: The ball must bounce once on each side before players can hit it in the air (volley).

  • No-Volley Zone (Kitchen): A 7-foot area on both sides of the net where players cannot volley the ball.

🛠️ Equipment

  • Paddle: Larger than a ping-pong paddle but smaller than a tennis racket.

  • Ball: Lightweight, perforated plastic ball, similar to a wiffle ball.

👥 Players

  • Can be played as singles (1 vs. 1) or doubles (2 vs. 2).

Materials Used

  • Plastic (polyethylene or polypropylene) – Durable and reusable.

Application Process

  1. Surface Preparation – Cleaning the pavement for proper adhesion.
  2. Stencil Placement – Positioning the stencil in the desired location.
  3. Paint Application – Using spray paint, rollers, or thermoplastic paint.
  4. Stencil Removal & Cleanup – Carefully lifting the stencil to prevent smudging.

Low-Density Polyethylene (LDPE) Explained

Low-Density Polyethylene (LDPE) is a thermoplastic polymer made from the monomer ethylene. It is known for its flexibility, toughness, and chemical resistance, making it widely used in various applications.

Key Properties of LDPE

  1. Low Density – Less compact molecular structure, making it softer and more flexible than high-density polyethylene (HDPE).
  2. High Ductility & Toughness – Resistant to impact and bending without breaking.
  3. Moisture & Chemical Resistance – Does not absorb water and resists many acids, alcohols, and bases.
  4. Transparency – Semi-clear, making it useful for packaging and film applications.

Material Grades and Thickness

 PRO-X                                .125 LDPE

PRO-Y                                .100 LDPE

PRO-S                                .060 LDPE
